Formative assessment is a tool used by the teacher to continuously monitor student progress in a non threatening supportive environment formative assessment in thus carried out during a course instruction for providing continuous feedback to both the teacher and learns for taking decision regarding appropriate modification in the transactional procurers and learning activities

Summative assessment .is carried out at the end of a course of learning it measure or sums up how much a student has learned form the course it is usually agreed test i.e it marked according to a scale or set of grades.
